Hire a photographer in Tokyo
The moment I took this, I knew I will have lots of fun editing this photo. What you see here are elevated walkways around the Shimbashi station in Tokyo which are a phenomenal sunject for night photography, and HDR in particular. All those lovely reflections and glass, and the office buildings around the place will make you want to shoot there all night long. The sky on that day was not too interesting, so I added a planet. It adds a lot to the futuristic feel of the area. I think I have to shoot there some photos for my cyborg photoshop manipulation series to have some cool background for composite photography, or actually go there with a model and have fun with flash photography. This photo is a manual blend of 7 exposures, some were chosen for the passers by, some for the street lights and some for the sky. If you want to learn more about photoshop and manual blending, visit my Youtube channel (link's below).

Here is another black and white shot of the Fuji Television building in Odaiba, Tokyo. Great piece of architecture, accessible from virtually any angle, including the elevated terrace of which fragment you can see up there in the right corner of this photo. I had fun editing this shot, I gave it a milky black and white finish, which fits the sunny yet hazy weather of summer time Tokyo. I said this many times but I will say it again, Odaiba is a crazy place for photographers of any kind, but if you enjoy shooting architecture as I do you will have a blast there for days or even weeks.

Hire a photographer in Tokyo Tokyo International Forum is in fact a alien spacecraft that crash landed in the middle of Tokyo., inside which you can find a portal to another dimension. Ghosts of the alien species were seen by many visitors. This led to a belief that the place is haunted, which is why its upper floor are usually deserted. The writing on the portal gate becomes visible only when you stare at the pillar for 5 minutes without blinking, while touching with both hands the glass panels leading to the portal. The writing on the portal is in ancient Chinese script, known as seal script, and reads: 別天地, which means "another world". Several people attempted to cross the portal but with no success. This photo is a rare capture of the portal gate writing glowing in the evening.

Hire a photographer in Tokyo The entire Shimbashi area is an absolute feast for an architecture photographer. The glass, the angles, the countless spots to capture amazing shots of a modern city like Tokyo. I am preparing for creating a long timelapse video of Tokyo at night, and Shimbashi is definitely down on my list. Just above my head there is a Yurikamone elevated train, which also offers amazing views of Tokyo. To the left there is this view, and Dentsu building from which you can shoot smashing night panoramas of Tokyo such as this one. Then again behind me there is this building. Honestly, each turn there is a photo to be taken!

Hire a photographer in Tokyo Nakagin Capsule Tower is a very famous building amongst the architects worldwide. It was constructed back in the 70's and is a representative example of metabolism architecture. Today, the tower is falling apart, and barely anyone lives there. The apartments in the tower are microscopic, equipped in one small round window, and a toilet size of the one you will find on an airplane. One of the materials used for constructing the Nakagin Capsule Tower was asbestos, which is most likely one of the main reasons why the building is deserted. The tower was scheduled for demolishing some time ago, but ti met some opposition and the whole thing is in the air at the moment. With no fund to renovate the tower, its future seems gloomy. Because of its interesting structure, Nakagin is a great subject for photography. It is located very close to Shimbashi station, which is in dead center of Tokyo. Here is a shot of the tower that I took very recently, in black and w

Hire a photographer in Tokyo Dentsu building 46th floor view. What a view they have there! For 500 JPY of table fee at one of the restaurants there you can not only see this, but mount your tripod and shoot through a massive window showing panorama of Shimbashi. The amount of details, dazzling lights, the commotion, the traffic, is all very exciting. Great shots to be taken there, so if you are in the area, and you enjoy night photography, then you will not regret it. On the other side of this building there is a free lobby with a windows on the Tokyo Harbor and Tsukiji market.

Hire a photographer in Tokyo I must say, that recently I find myself blending exposures manually almost every time I work on an HDR image, but in here I actually used Photomatix to combine the sky with the metal structure of the Tokyo International Forum. I tried HDR Efex Pro2, but it wasn't giving me satisfactory results. It really depends on a photo, so it is good to have various options and programs and try different approaches. I actually came back to this image today and made it brighter, as I felt it might have been a bit too contrasty. Sometimes it is good to go back to the PDF file on another day, and reassess the final result. I do this quite often, and do some fine tuning.

Hire a photographer in Tokyo I went to Shimbashi today to work on one architecture project, and once I was done, I decided to stay around and capture a few shots of modern architecture with ultra wide angle lens. Glass and steel creates wonderful reflections and shadows. Further, it offers great fun in post production, especially when you plan on converting photos into black and white. The Shimbashi station area is loaded with places to shoot, you can literally stand in one spot and just turn around and keep taking photographs. There are amazing view decks there, one is inside the Dentsu building. If you enjoy black and white photography, feel free to visit my channel on Youtube, where you can find many free tutorials on monochrome photography conversion in photoshop.

Hire a photographer in Tokyo When I was taking this shot I wished for this painting or banner to be a bit to the left, but I guess we cannot have everything in life, can we. There was some international event regarding modern architecture going on, and similar banners were placed all over the ground floor. I did not mind having it in my shot, it was based on the concept of ink painting art. Still, you can see how massive and roomy is the interior of this structure. It is so refreshing to walk into a building in Tokyo that does not make you feel claustrophobic. This steel walkways that you can see up there, are on yet another shot of mine taken on the same day, here.

Hire a photographer in Tokyo Tokyo International Forum - a true feast for any architecture photographer seeking a great spot to get lost in beauty of steel and glass shapes for a week or two. Seriously, one can spend a month in that place and still find new angles and perspectives to shoot from. I revisited TIF after few month with a solemn purpose of photographing using only ultra wide angle lens. Now this shot was meant to be really cold, so that is why I used cold tones, to emphasize the steel and glass textures, and create a slightly sci fi atmosphere. From this perspective, TIF looks like an interior of a massive alien spacecraft, or a futuristic zeppelin. I think that this place could be amazing spot for my next cyborg photoshop manipulation project. Anyways, If you are after goo Tokyo photos, that place should be on your list.
