This shot really show the buzz of Tokyo. Condensed scene, small space, rushing people, everything being organised, etc. The composition is also quite peculiar. Normally, the girl who is carrying the barrels should not be cut off at her shoe soles like this, but I went ahead and cropped this photo in tighter, regardless. I wanted those girls to be a part of their bar or restaurant, cut like jigsaw puzzle together with signs and boards and lights and small roofs. I wanted to make this photo feel even more congested, cramped and squeezed. I wanted to shoot this at 200mm, but with street photos you shoot when you see a scene happening. 2seconds later it was all gone. I greatly appreciate the elusive momentum of street photography, the capturing of the moment and all, but it does feel a bit invasive to me, which is why I rarely shoot it. I am not too comfortable with crashing into the personal space of others and abusing it, but street photography does have a unique charm to it, which often difficult to pass on.
